From Quitting his Job at Google to living the life of a Digital Nomad — The Journey of Sumit Deb

Dear Readers, Today I am going to share the story of a person who left his successful career in a reputed MNC to venture out and pursue his dream of becoming a Digital Nomad. His story is motivational for many others who are aspiring to be self employed but due to some reasons not able to take the next step.

Sumit left his job as a Google Ads Trainer wherein he was working for Google as a vendor employee and was posted on client site. Having worked for the giant in the tech space, he got great exposure to business and the digital marketing world. He worked for Google for more than 2 years and grew from an Account Manager to a Trainer. He accepts that he learnt a lot while working as an Account Manager where he used to interact with multiple businesses and helped them achieve their marketing goals through Google Ads.

Although he was working for one of the best companies in the world, somewhere deep within, he knew he wanted to explore his options and venture into Entrepreneurship. This was not the first time the idea of starting a business struck him. Earlier he started two businesses which failed but he did not give up hope. In fact, he said, failure is good as it helps you level up the learning curve.

Quitting his job was the hardest decision he had to make, but he was confident of his skills and had a clear vision of what he wanted to do with his life. After he left his job, he joined the Digital Deepak Internship Program and started working on his personal brand — SumitDeb.Com

SumitDeb.Com provides Paid Marketing Services to clients across the globe. Today it has completed 3 years of its existence and have built a long list of happy clients along its journey. He shares credit to Digital Deepak Internship Program and his fellow interns for being able to build a successful personal brand. He says that apart from acquiring skills, one needs to be associated with the like minded group of people to grow in life. And the internship program helped him become a part of an active community of optimist individuals with a desire to become successful.

Apart from working on his personal brand, Sumit is also into stock market. He says stock market trading and Digital Marketing has allowed him to enjoy financial freedom and live the life of a Digital Nomad. He now enjoys his time travelling and working from anywhere he desires.

When asked about his future goals, he expressed his interest of setting up a non profit organization that conducts seminars and workshops in schools and colleges for students to help them realize their passion and interest and guide them in building a sustainable business out of it. He believes that current education model equipped with such training programs could help the youth to take better and more confident career decisions in their lives.
